Welcome to GoSafara Holidays ("GoSafara," "we," "us," or "our"). We are a UAE-based online holiday company operating through our website gosafara.com. By accessing our website, browsing our holiday packages, or making a booking with us, you ("the Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions in full. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
1. Booking Confirmation
All bookings made through GoSafara Holidays are subject to availability and confirmation. A booking request submitted through our website, mobile app, or via telephone constitutes an enquiry, not a confirmed reservation. Your booking is only confirmed when:
- You receive a written confirmation email or WhatsApp message from GoSafara Holidays referencing your booking reference number.
- The required deposit or full payment has been received and cleared in our account.
- All travel suppliers (airlines, hotels, ground operators) have confirmed their respective components of your itinerary.
GoSafara Holidays reserves the right to decline or cancel any booking prior to confirmation if the requested services are unavailable or if payment cannot be verified.
2. Pricing
All prices displayed on our website are in UAE Dirhams (AED) unless otherwise stated. Prices are per person based on the stated occupancy and are subject to change without prior notice until a booking is confirmed. Prices may vary based on:
- Travel dates and seasonality (peak, shoulder, or off-peak periods).
- Availability of promotional or fixed-departure rates at the time of booking.
- Currency exchange rate fluctuations affecting supplier costs.
- Changes to airline taxes, fuel surcharges, or government levies.
- Room category, cabin class, and number of passengers sharing a room.
GoSafara Holidays makes every effort to ensure pricing displayed is accurate and up to date. In the event of an obvious pricing error, we reserve the right to correct the price and notify you before confirming the booking.
3. Payment Terms
Payment terms vary depending on the package type and proximity to the departure date:
- Full Payment: For all fixed-departure packages — including UAE National Day, Eid Al Fitr, Eid Al Adha, Islamic New Year, public holiday departures, and group departures — and for any package travelling within 30 days of booking, full payment is required at the time of confirmation.
- Deposit + Balance: For packages travelling more than 30 days from booking, a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total package price is required to secure the booking. The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before departure.
- Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL): Where Tabby or Tamara is available, you may select BNPL at checkout subject to their independent approval and terms. BNPL eligibility does not alter our cancellation policy.
Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking and forfeiture of any deposit paid. We accept Visa, Mastercard, bank transfers, and approved BNPL providers. See our Payment Policy for full details.
4. Customer Responsibilities
As a customer booking with GoSafara Holidays, you are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete information at the time of booking, including full names as they appear on passports, dates of birth, and contact details.
- Ensuring that you and all travellers in your party hold valid passports with at least six (6) months validity from the date of return travel.
- Obtaining all required visas, vaccinations, and travel documentation for the destinations in your itinerary. GoSafara Holidays can assist with visa guidance but is not responsible for visa approval or rejection.
- Arriving at departure points (airports, hotels, tour meeting points) on time. We are not liable for missed connections or services due to late arrival.
- Complying with the laws, customs, and regulations of all countries visited.
- Behaving in a manner that does not disrupt other travellers, hotel guests, or service providers.
- Disclosing any medical conditions, dietary requirements, or special needs at the time of booking so we can inform our suppliers.
5. Travel Documents
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure all travellers possess the correct travel documents prior to departure. This includes but is not limited to:
- A passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the intended return date.
- Valid visas or visa-on-arrival eligibility for all countries in the itinerary.
- Required vaccination certificates or health documentation.
- Travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellation, and baggage loss (strongly recommended for all bookings).
GoSafara Holidays is not liable for denied boarding, entry refusal, or additional costs incurred due to incomplete or incorrect travel documentation. We recommend verifying entry requirements with the relevant embassy or consulate well before departure.
6. Package Inclusions & Exclusions
Each package listing on our website specifies what is included and excluded. In general, unless explicitly stated:
Inclusions typically cover:
- Return economy-class flights from the stated departure city.
- Accommodation at the stated hotels or similar category.
- Daily breakfast (or meal plan as specified in the package).
- Airport transfers and intercity transportation as per itinerary.
- Tours and sightseeing as described in the itinerary.
Exclusions typically cover:
- Visa fees and processing charges.
- Travel insurance premiums.
- Lunches, dinners, and beverages unless specified.
- Optional excursions and activities not listed in the itinerary.
- Personal expenses, laundry, minibar, telephone, and room service charges.
- Tips for guides, drivers, and hotel staff (at customer's discretion).
If any inclusion is unclear, please request clarification in writing before confirming your booking.
7. Supplier Changes
GoSafara Holidays acts as an intermediary between the customer and various travel suppliers, including airlines, hotels, transport companies, and ground operators. We do not own or operate these suppliers and are therefore not directly responsible for their actions or failures. Suppliers may change itineraries, schedules, accommodation, or services due to operational, weather, safety, or other reasons beyond their control.
In the event of a supplier-initiated change:
- We will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and offer an equivalent or superior alternative where available.
- If the alternative is of lower standard and no equivalent is available, we will refund the price difference.
- If a major change makes the holiday materially different from what was booked and you do not wish to proceed, you may cancel and receive a full refund.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from supplier changes.
8. Travel Insurance
GoSafara Holidays strongly recommends that all customers purchase comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking. Travel insurance should cover, at minimum:
- Medical emergencies and hospitalisation abroad.
- Emergency medical evacuation and repatriation.
- Trip cancellation, curtailment, and interruption.
- Baggage loss, delay, and damage.
- Flight delays and missed connections.
We do not sell or underwrite travel insurance and are not party to any insurance contract. Claims must be directed to the insurance provider. Failure to obtain travel insurance does not reduce our liability for our own negligence but may leave you unprotected against third-party failures.
9. Liability Limitations
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoSafara Holidays' liability for any claim arising from a booking is limited to the amount paid to us for the relevant booking. We are not liable for:
- Acts or omissions of third-party suppliers, including airlines, hotels, and ground operators.
- Loss or damage to personal property during travel.
- Personal injury, illness, or death except where caused by our own negligence.
- Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Loss of enjoyment, disappointment, or distress.
- Events of force majeure (see Section 10 below).
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under UAE law.
10. Force Majeure
GoSafara Holidays shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters, earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, or extreme weather events.
- Pandemics, epidemics, or widespread health emergencies.
- War, armed conflict, terrorism, or civil unrest.
- Government travel bans, border closures, or quarantine mandates.
- Airline strikes, airport closures, or airspace restrictions.
- Fire, power outages, or infrastructure failures.
In the event of force majeure, we will use reasonable efforts to notify affected customers promptly, offer alternative dates or destinations where possible, and process refunds for services not provided, less any non-recoverable costs already paid to suppliers.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, unless otherwise required by mandatory local law.
For consumer protection, UAE residents may also have rights under the UAE Consumer Protection Law (Federal Law No. 15 of 2020) which cannot be excluded by contract.
